What happens when contestants on talent shows are found to have a criminal past?
Whether it's American Idol or America's Got Talent or the much anticipated X-Factor.
“Danelle Hayes wowed the American Idol judges in Denver ...winning her a golden ticket into the next round, but…” RadarOnline reported that “…we wont be seeing the karaoke host in Hollywood now– due to her checkered and extensive criminal past.
RadarOnline first reported that a Denver standout Danelle Hayes’ had a menagerie of past legal troubles.
Seems her talent “was almost as eye-popping as her rap sheet.”
She had been charged in the past with:
–DUI
–Driving with suspended license
–Marijuana possession
–A domestic incident with her mother (alcohol related)
–Making a death threat to her mother
–Vandalism
–Cashing stolen checks from her mother
RadarOnline said “In all fairness…obviously some of those incidents occurred when she was still a minor, but you just can’t ignore them.”

RadarOnline came up with a great idea for a new show though:
“…All of this has given me the idea for a new show called ‘Convict Idol.’
You could take all of the ex-cons who were rejected from the show and let them compete for a special record deal.
The winner could even film his/her first music video with the Dancing Inmates in the Philippines! Now that would be great television.”
Here's a little advise too late for some people though...
