Marcus Canty’s voice performances are not always on. He is a good entertainer but even when his voice is in key he does not stand out as a recognizable performer and the industry does not need another “sounds-the-same-as” R&B singer.
Melanie Amaro - whom I dearly love - is set to fill the shoes of Whitney Houston and compete with Mariah Carey in the entertainment industry. Mariah isn’t getting any younger so Melanie will also take Mariah’s place in the years ahead. I have to admit that the first time I heard Melanie I thought - “There’s the winner, you can stop looking now.” But as time goes on her style is repetitious. Although, that didn’t stop Houston or Carey from making their millions.
Chris Rene does not have the best voice in this competition but his style is unique - definitely “His Own.” Chris Rene’s potential lies in his original material - which is to say that he will write from his comfort zone and his life experiences with hits such as “Young Homie” and his “Where Do We Go From Here” and Chris Rene will be on top in the industry with a definite Grammy in his future.
Josh Krajic’s voice is amazing, emotional, sensual, distinctive, one-of-a-kind. You would know his voice if you heard it on the radio. Josh Krajic will not be filling anyone’s shoes. He will be standing on stage somewhere in this world in his own shoes - and tomorrow’s hopeful entertainers will be wanting to be like him. He can sing anything and make it his own. So on that level, Josh should win X Factor.
I have been for Josh and Melanie - since the beginning - but Chris Rene just might take it all. And I'd be happy with that too.
If Marcus Canty doesn't leave tonight and he wins this competition - I think I will be physically sick. I hope America is better at this than Britain’s X-Factor. The best voice did not win there ! Little Mix should not have won that competition!
